A great example of this would be Vinyl: The Sound and Culture of Records, an exhibit exploring the enduring medium of vinyl LPs and the multifaceted culture that keeps them spinning despite the modern age of streaming services like Spotify. For promotion of the show, I developed a concept utilizing candid black and white photography of collectors and enthusiasts, weaving them together with motion and bringing them to life. Rather than include voiceover it seemed like a great soundtrack should do the talking—something that captured the energy and spirit of the show. I was able to work out the rights with local rock legend, John Dwyer of Thee Oh Sees.
